Responsible Development

Mines are a necessary form of human endeavor, producing the minerals necessary for modern life. They generate more weallth on less land than any other resource activity. And they must be meticulously planned and managed to protect the environment.

Newgenco takes seriously its reponsibility to maximise project benefits for nearby communities, while minimising or eliminating the negative consequences of development.

All Newgenco projects are guided by the principles laid out in the Sustainable Development Framework, formulated by the International Council on Mining and Metals [2003]
